Group Meeting - Architecture Overview

Today's group meeting was an overview of the system's architecture.

The architecture solves 3 major issues with tetherless computing:

• Routing - DTN
• Locality - Chord/DHT
• Nature of regions (heterogeneous, non-internet) - DTN

DTN - Delay Tolerant Networks

• overlay
• region
  • admin ids
  • gateways interface with adjacent regions

Chord / DHT (Distributed Hash Table)

• Key ID/value location
• I3 allows names vs IPs
  • only works in the internet
